{Terms of service}

PAYMENT AND PAYMENT TERMS
A 50% deposit is required to hold the date, and start the preparations for your event. Any remaining balance will be due two weeks prior. Your payments validate your signature and agreement to the Terms of Service of this contract. If payment of final balance has not been received by the payment deadline, we reserve the right to terminate the agreement. In such event, we will have no further obligation hereunder and any deposits made to date will not be refunded. Please make checks payable to Hood Famous Bakeshop and send via mail to 2325 1/2 NW Market St. Seattle WA 98107.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation Policy - If you notify us of a cancellation at least 30 days prior to the event, we will refund half of your deposit. No refunds of the deposit will be given after that date, however we appreciate you giving as much notice as possible and if we are able to re-book your date, we will apply half of the amount of your unrefunded deposit to a future event.

GUEST COUNT CHANGES
Changes to your final order:  dessert quantities, flavors, etc will be accepted until 30 days prior to the event date. After that lockout date we cannot accept any changes. No monies will be refunded in the event your order decreases in size.

DELIVERY & SET UP
Dessert Bars: Deliveries are included in all dessert bar catering options within 20 miles of our shop. A delivery base fee of $125 is incurred if event location is beyond a 20+ mile radius from our shop. Additionally, a $1 per mile above 20 miles will be added to the base fee.

A la carte: An option of a $75 delivery fee or $125 delivery and set up fee is provided for all catering orders of $300 or more (within 20 miles of our shop). Set up includes placement of desserts on stands and platters provided by the client. Otherwise, a la carte desserts are delivered in either disposable bakery boxes or trays with lids.

We are not responsible for any damage to the desserts after delivery and/or setup is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the desserts.

Weather/Acts of God
Hood Famous Bakeshop is not responsible for any conditions that would affect the quality of the product or service such as rain, wind, hail, snow, ice, heat (outdoor weddings) etc. In the event of major weather changes such as earthquakes, we will provide the best possible product, however are not responsible for damage that is related.

OUR OBLIGATION
We take our obligation to provide your dessert bar as agreed in this contract very seriously. We will work with you (in reasonable accommodation) on every level to make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with your dessert spread. However, should an unforeseeable event occur which prevents us from fulfilling our obligation and we must cancel our agreement with you, we will refund your payment in full. In addition, if at all possible we will work with you to find another qualified bakery to assist you with your dessert table and will cooperate in transferring materials to the new baker.
